Turn right out of the railway station, follow the road round, bearing right until you come to the Premier Inn. Continue on until the traffic lights, cross to the other side of the road and continue on up the road opposite (Charles St). Continue up Charles St, keeping right, on through the junction, until you see the grey Encore hotel on your right – take the immediate right after the this (Halford Street). The Assessment Centre is a little further down on the left in the Rutland Centre, immediately before the ‘Curve’ theatre.
Travelling from out of town: From the inner ring road, proceed to St George’s Retail Park Island and turn right into the town (Office World needs to be on your left and the BT tower on your right). Continue until you reach the traffic lights, following the road before taking the second left into Yeoman Street. Turn left into Halford Street, where you will see the NCP car park on the left. Coming out of the car park the assessment centre doors are on you right, just set back. The Rutland Centre is on Halford Street but if you have SatNav you will need to enter Yeoman Street.
Car Parking: The Assessment Centre is right outside the exit to the NCP car park. You will find the entrance to the car park on Halford Street (which is one way).
From St Margaret’s Bus Station: Turn right out of the station onto Gravel St and walk to the end of this road (Matalan will be in front of you). Turn left onto Church Gate and carry on up this road towards the City Centre until you come to the clock tower. Walk across the road towards the clock tower, with ‘Clarks’ on your left and ‘HSBC’ on your right. Walk down Humberstone Gate, until ‘Primark’ is on your left and ‘New Look’ on your right. Cross Charles Street, and turn right and walk up it (towards the railway station), passing a British Heart Foundation shop on your left. Turn left onto Halford St, immediately before the Ramada Encore hotel. The Assessment Centre is a little further down Halford St, on the left in the Rutland Centre, immediately before the ‘Curve’ theatre.
