Assessments

Your Assessment

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) needs health information about people claiming benefits. This is done by an assessment process. The purpose of the assessment is to understand how your illness or disability affects your daily life. The Health Assessment Advisory Service arranges and carries out assessments for DWP. After the assessment, DWP makes the decision on your benefits claim.
