Find Your Assessment Centre

18 Deanery Way, Stockport, SK1 1NA

From the station, it is a 15-20 minute walk but there is a free shuttle bus that runs from the station every 10 minutes and drops off in Bridgefield Street, just behind M&S, which is a short walk to the Assessment Centre.

If walking continue along Station Road for about 300 yards before turning left onto Wellington Road South. After a further 150 yards turn right into Mersey Square and continue through Chestergate / Great Underbank before turning left onto Deanery Way.

Unfortunately there are no public parking facilities at the Assessment Centre on Deanery Way. However, the area is well served by commercial car parks, with one a short distance away on Great Underbank.

Please note: local restrictions do not allow drop off or pick up between 10:00 & 16:00.

You can be dropped off at Three Shire Pub on Great Underbank which is a 5 min walk or less.

If you have mobility problems which prevent you walking a short distance, please call the number on your appointment letter (AL1) to rearrange a more suitable location.

There are surface car parks behind Marks and Spencer and Debenhams.

There is a multi storey car park from Great Underbank just past Primark on left hand side the road.

There are disabled parking bays along Great Underbank. The Assessment Centre is approximately 2-3 minutes walk from here.

The Assessment Centre is ten minutes walk from a large number of bus stops, including the main Bus Station by Wellington Road South. From the Bus Station, walk directly along Chestergate/Great Underbank before turning left onto Deanery Way.

Notes from this Centre

This is a ground floor assessment facility.

The Assessment Centre is facing Supercuts which is next door to the White Lion Pub on Deanery Way. Ernest Jones and Beaverbrook shops are on either corner of Deanery Way opposite M&S.
