From Midland Railway Station & Central Bus Station:
On leaving rail station, cross Sheaf Street, then veer right to join the canopied pathway marked ‘Sheffield Interchange’ which leads to the bus station. Pass through the bus station to reach Flat Street. Walk up to the end of Flat Street, passing Mecca Bingo on your left, and turn left onto High St. Carry on along High St until the crossing (Poundland store opposite). Cross here and continue along the right until the next crossing, at which point cross High Street and the tram tracks. The street in front will be Angel St – walk up here, passing Greggs on the left, and then turn left under the archway (Watsons Walk) just before the Argos store onto Hartshead Square – the Assessment Centre is on the right.
Once in the city centre, Hartshead Square can be reached from the north via West Bar, Queen Street and Meetinghouse Lane, and from the South via Campo Lane.
There is a NCP car park on the corner of Campo Lane and Meetinghouse Lane, adjacent to the Assessment Centre.
For Sat Nav: please use the postcode S1 2EL which refers to the NCP car park.
Bus or Supertram
Bus service no. 40 covers part of the above route. It departs the central bus station frequently (stand G6), and will take you as far as High Street.
Supertram stops are located nearby in High Street. Castle Square stop is the nearest to the assessment centre. From here go along Angel Street and turn left under archway just before the Argos store. On entering Hartshead Square take the flight of steps immediately on the right to reach the Assessment Centre.
Notes from this Centre
This is a ground floor assessment facility.
On reaching the Assessment Centre access is gained by pressing a button in the grey metal box to the left of the door. This is an intercom connection to security in the main building who will open the doors automatically.
