Oxford station is approximately 20 to 25 minutes walk from the Assessment Centre and is served by First Great Western and CrossCountry trains. A number of bus routes run from the railway station to St. Aldate’s.
The Assessment Centre is located in the city centre, near the Police Station and Crown and County Courts. The nearest public car park is the Westgate Car Park, accessed from Norfolk Street. There is also limited parking for disabled blue badge holders in Albion Place, Cambridge Terrace and Littlegate Street. However, as parking options in the vicinity are otherwise very limited, visitors may wish to take advantage of the frequent park & ride bus services 300 or 400.
Bus routes 16, 31, 34, 35, 44, X2, X3, X4, X13, X32, X39, X40, X41 and 300 call in St. Aldate’s; alight at the Police Station (bus stops P1 or P2). Bus routes 4, 5, 13, 44, 105, 106, 280, U1 and 400 call at bus stop S1 in Speedwell Street; wait at this stop for buses back to the railway station. Park & Ride route 300 runs between the Pear Tree (north) and Redbridge (south) car parks, with stops in St. Aldate’s. Park & Ride route 400 runs between the Seacourt (west) and Thornhill (east) car parks, with a stop in Speedwell Street if travelling from the Thornhill car park. Both routes run via the city centre.
