The Assessment Centre is less than a mile from Leeds Railway Station. When leaving the station, turn right onto Boar Lane, through Duncan St, then onto New York St and York St with Kirkgate Market and Leeds Bus Station on your left. Cross St. Peter’s Street, walk up St. Peter’s Square with the BBC building and Leeds College of Music on your left-hand side. Turn left onto St. Cecilia Street until facing Quarry House, which is a large red brick and glass building.
The entry to the Assessment Centre is on the far left of the building.
Access to disabled blue badge parking and pick-up / drop-off point: From Marsh lane, heading north towards the Inner Ring Road (A64) – on the left will be Quarry House, take the second entrance to the building marked ‘North’. At the North entrance barrier, press the intercom button and provide the claimant’s name and appointment details. Once the barrier is raised, turn immediately right up the hill and follow direction signs. On-site disabled parking is clearly marked and is situated close to the Assessment Centre entrance on the west side of the building, and is for Blue Badge holders only. When leaving by car, follow the direction signs and exit via the South entrance. There is no exit via the North entrance. Please note that Blue Badge parking is limited.
Alternative blue badge parking and parking for non blue badge holders: The closest parking to Quarry House is Quarry Hill car park, run by Leeds City Council. Parking can be accessed along St. Cecilia Street: current building work means that the only area for parking is to be found by following the road to the right of the construction site entrance. The car park ground is very uneven.
Leeds City Bus Station is less than half a mile from Quarry House. Exit the bus station onto York St, turn left, cross St. Peter’s Street at the junction, turn left, then right into St. Peter’s Square, passing the BBC building and Leeds College of Music building on your left-hand side. Turn left onto St. Cecilia Street until facing Quarry House, which is a large red brick and glass building. The entry to the Assessment Centre is on the far left of the building.
Notes from this Centre
This is a ground floor assessment facility.
The entry point for the Assessment Centre is at the far left of the building (facing Leeds city centre). There is no public access to the assessment centre via the main central entrances of Quarry House. There is currently a large construction site in front of the building and the ground is very uneven in places.
