Train
Gloucester railway station is approximately 1.5 miles distance, in Bruton Way.
Car
From the North: Exit the M5 at Junction 11, and follow signs for Gloucester and Docks. At Southgate Street turn off into Spa Road.
The Assessment Centre is situated in the same complex as the DWP.
From the South: Exit the M5 at Junction 12, follow the A38 and then A430 to Gloucester.
Parking: There is metered street parking available in adjacent streets, this is limited to a maximum of 2 hours. Longer timed parking is available in the Docks Car Park. There are a limited number of disabled spaces at the Assessment Centre. Allow approx. 2 hours when buying a parking ticket, allowing for waiting time and assessment time.
Bus
Gloucester bus station is opposite Gloucester railway station.
The number 10 Bus connects Clarence Street to Spa Road.
Notes from this Centre
Please enter via the main Jobcentre entrance at the front of the building (no other entrance connects to the Assessment Centre.
Please note this assessment facility is on the first floor of Cedar House. However, the Assessment Centre has a room on the ground floor for those unable to use stairs. If you think that you would have difficulty going down the stairs unaided in the event of an emergency, please ring the Appointments Help Desk number on the accompanying letter at least two days before your appointment date so that we can make alternative arrangements for you.
