Train

 

Nearest rail station is Bootle Oriel Road or Bootle New Strand.

 

From Bootle Oriel Road – leave the station and cross Oriel Road. Walk along St Edmonds Road, turn right into Pembroke Road, then left into Trinity Road. Turn left into Stanley Road, and the Assessment Centre is on your left.

 

From Bootle New Strand – leave the station, and walk down Vermont Way or Marsh Lane until you reach Stanley Road. Walk down this road past the Strand Shopping Centre, and the Assessment Centre will be on your right.

Car

 

From A565 Southbound – follow the A565 into Bootle, and turn left at the A5058 (Miller’s Bridge). Follow this road as it becomes Balliol Road, and then turn left into Stanley Road.

 

From M57 – leave the motorway at junction 5, and join the A580, and then join the A5058 (signposted Ring Road, Southport). Continue down this road across the junction with the A5038, and turn right into the A567 (Stanley Road). The Assessment Centre is on the left.

 

For parking, go past the front of the building on Stanley Road and turn left at the traffic lights into Trinity Road. Approx. 50 yards on the left hand side is the entrance to a car park.

 

Please note there is a port-a-cabin at the entrance and they only accept cash.

 

The car park is directly opposite our building.

Bus

 

From Bootle Bus Station, leave the station and turn into Vermont Way, then follow the directions from Bootle New Strand station. Buses leaving Liverpool City Centre stop outside St Martin’s House. The Assessment Centre is above the Cat & Fiddle Pub on the 1st floor.

Notes from this Centre

Please note this is a first floor assessment facility. The Assessment Centre can be accessed by lift but if an emergency evacuation of the building is required, such as a fire alarm, the lift cannot be used. There are 21 steps to the ground floor. If you think that you would have difficulty going down the stairs unaided in the event of an emergency, please ring the Appointments Help Desk number on the accompanying letter at least two days before your appointment date so that we can make alternative arrangements for you.
