Directions
Train
The nearest railway station is Weymouth station which is approximately 1200 metres away. Leave the station by the main entrance. Then turn right onto Kings Street, next to the petrol station. Follow this road branching left at the roundabout, crossing over the harbour bridge. Turn left at the next roundabout into Westwey Road, the Assessment Centre is on your right hand side just before the next roundabout.
Car
The Assessment Centre is just off the A354 Westwey Road, which is the main road from Dorchester to Portland.
The Assessment Centre is situated in the Jobcentre Plus offices, Entrance B, opposite the Asda superstore.
There is free parking available adjacent to the site to the left of the orange barriers, alternatively the Court Car Park is a Pay & Display. This can be found by turning off into Newstead Rd (opposite Asda entrance – next to the Squash Centre) taking the first right.
Bus
No.3 – Hereford Road – Weymouth Debenhams (Stop D1), Weymouth Town Bridge (Stop T1), Newstead Road, Kings Roundabout (for train station).
No.5 – Radipole Village – Weymouth Debenhams (Stop D2), Weymouth Town Bridge (Stop T1), Newstead Road, Radipole Village, Goldcroft Road.
No.8 – Chickerell – Weymouth Debenhams (Stop D1), Radipole Turn, Newstead Road, East Street, Kings Roundabout (for train station).
Notes from this Centre
Please note that this assessment facility is located on the third floor. The assessment centre can be accessed by lift but if an emergency evacuation of the building is required such as a fire alarm, the lift cannot be used. There are 54 steps to the ground floor. If you think that you would have difficulty going down the stairs unaided in the event of an emergency, please ring the Appointments Help Desk number on the accompanying letter at least two days before your appointment date so that we can make alternative arrangements for you.
